040126 Glitch: A 30"x72" work that a) exemplifies how long some of these works take to complete (a month on this one) and b) how I struggle with presenting visualizations of ideas and concepts without being literal. This work is NOT created with any glitch software, and its intent is not to emulate those works other digital artists create using glitch software. This work is about how things happen to us, often suddenly without notice, where we stand challenged by the reality we face. As if in the middle of a sentence, our mind moving ever faster than our speech, we confront multiplicity of alternative channels that lead us to different conclusions. We're left standing frozen in time trying to sort out the path forward. Glitch is a colorful rendition of our attempts at making sense of fragmented concepts in the immediacy of the moment.
